It's been a crazy last month or so, and most of you are still just getting used to no course work for the remainder of summer. Unless of course you are taking summer classes to get ahead or catch up. Hopefully those who graduated with job offers in hand are relaxing and getting ready to embark on the first stage of your career. Those who have a year or two to go, I bet you are working hard to build up the ol' spending fund for next year on campus. I bet some of you are even building up your professional experience with an internship - that hopefully pays. If you're still searching for a job or internship, believe it or not you are not alone.
I started out my sophomore summer painting houses, and the business fell through so I began looking for internships. I actually received an interview offer almost at the beginning of June for a position that I had applied for months earlier. I ended up working for a medical systems and software company that my aunt worked for. It's crazy how things work out, so just stick with it and hopefully everything works out for you.
Anyways, I apologize for the site issues with the inconsistent layout between pages and some of the missing graphics. I was still having issues from the site migration which was ages ago, and finally had some free time on a Saturday.
I'm working on a bigger and better second edition of the book, and I'm not sure when it will be finished right now. The first book was great, but I want this one to be more of what I had envisioned for the first one. Using the feedback from readers, students, professors, press reviews, and publishers and editors who have read the book, I hope to put together something special. If you haven't noticed there were printing costs that were reduced, so the price on the book is now down to something like $10-11. I even saw a copy for sale on eBay for $9 and change. I'm just putting that offer on the table, but I understand if you are saving for school and not for beer money. Actually, I understand if you are saving for the ever costly social life, as well.
