There are job searching websites and career advice sites scattered all over the internet. The problem is that 99% of the websites are loaded with advertisements for work at home scams, free ipods and xbox 360's, and other crap that kills the user experience as well as makes finding the information a task in itself.
MyLifeMyCareer.com is different. I search all over the internet for valuable information to aid college students who are searching for internships and full-time positions for life after college. Students, professors, and career counselors send me information and links where they found tips that helped them. I learn quite a bit from conversations with students who are making their way through the job searching process right now.
All of this information is organized here for you to help you land the offer that you really want. That's the goal anyway.
You have only lived 1/4th of your life, and you will be working, building, and defining your career for the next 40-45 years, or 1/2 of your life (those math courses really paid off). When you retire and all is said and done you probably won't ask yourself, "What did I do with my career?" You will most likely ask yourself, "What have I done with my life?"
My Life. My Career.
Jared Bieberich. That is my legal name in all of its' glory. I graduated from Indiana University in May of 2006 with a Bachelor's of Science in Informatics and minors in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship. I researched and wrote a few papers on job searching and finding a career as a college student, and it's an interest of mine that did not die after graduation. I wrote and published Beer Pong Isn't a Job? Finding a Career for Generation Y shortly after graduation, which serves as a great resource for college students who want to know how the entire process works from beginning to end. I used to be on Facebook and MySpace, but no longer have accounts. You can contact me directly through email or by leaving a comment on one of the blog posts. Please do not hesitate to ask questions. Or to give me a shout out. Those are nice.
